Category I nonfriable ACM definition

Category I nonfriable ACM means asbestos-containing packings, gaskets, resilient floor covering, and asphalt roofing products, containing more than 1 percent asbestos as determined using polarized light microscopy according to the method specified in Appendix A, Subpart F, 40 CFR Part 763, section 1, Polarized Light Microscopy, as contained in the 7-1-91 Edition of the CFR.
Category I nonfriable ACM means asbestos-containing packings, gaskets, resilient floor covering, and asphalt roofing products containing more than one percent (1%) asbestos as determined using the method specified in 40 CFR 763, Subpart E, Appendix E, Section 1, Polarized Light Microscopy*.
Category I nonfriable ACM means asbestos-containing packings, gaskets, resilient floor coverings, flooring mastics and adhesives, and asphalt roofing products, that when dry cannot be crumbled, or reduced to powder by hand pressure, and that contain more than one percent asbestos.
