Channel 4 definition

Channel 4 means the television broadcasting service referred to in section 24(1), and “on Channel 4” means in that service;
Channel 4 means the additional broadcasting service referred to in section 10(1) of the 1981 Act, but excluding so much of that service as consisted, immediately before the transfer date, in the broadcasting of programmes for reception wholly or mainly in Wales, and “on Channel 4” means in the said service;

Examples of Channel 4 in a sentence

  • The Producer shall notify Channel 4 in writing when delivering the Programme(s) to Channel 4 of any part or parts of the Programme(s) which may not comprise part of an extract for use as anticipated by this Clause.

  • If Channel 4 does not respond within 21 days of receipt of a written notice from the Producer notifying Channel 4 that it has made full Delivery, full Delivery shall be deemed to have taken place.

  • This Agreement sets out the entire agreement between the Producer and Channel 4 with respect to the production of the Programme(s) and supersedes any prior arrangements or agreements (whether oral or written) between the Producer and Channel 4 relating thereto.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Producer will not be in breach of the holdback against exploitation of the Publishing Rights as set out in Clause 21 where there has been exploitation of the Publishing Rights notified in writing to Channel 4 by the Producer prior to signature of this Agreement and the commission of the Programme(s).

  • The Producer shall observe and perform all the warranties and conditions in the Insurances and shall ensure that all premiums are paid when due and the Insurances maintained in full force and effect for such period as Channel 4 may agree.

  • In effecting and maintaining production insurance as required by this Agreement the Producer shall ensure that appropriate risk assessment to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation is undertaken, and implemented, during the period in which the Programme(s) are produced and delivered to Channel 4 under this Agreement.

  • If such suspension continues for more than 6 (six) weeks then Channel 4 shall be entitled forthwith by notice in writing to terminate this Agreement and upon and from such termination the Producer shall have no further obligation to produce and deliver the Programme(s) and Channel 4 shall have no further obligation to pay any monies save in respect of legitimate contractual commitments entered into by the Producer prior to the force majeure incident which have not been cashflowed.

  • The Producer also agrees to retain all documentation entered into by the Producer in connection with the production of the Programme(s) (and to provide copies of the same to Channel 4 upon request) for a period of 6 years from Delivery or as otherwise notified to the Producer by Channel 4’s legal and compliance department.

  • Channel 4 acknowledges that time shall be of the essence in any consultation under this provision.

  • The right to run telephony services including premium rate telephone lines (whether fixed or wireless) in connection with the Programme(s) and/or linked to any communication to the public on the Channel 4 Service and/or the More4 Service.

Related to Channel 4

  • Channels means the standard definition (SD) channel(s)/ high definition (HD) channels, as the case maybe and more specifically listed out by the Broadcaster, along with their Nature, Maximum Retail Price (if any) and respective genre, in Annexure B annexed to this Agreement that are owned/operated by the Broadcaster (including its subsidiary company or holding company or subsidiary of the holding company) ;

  • Channel means a natural or artificial watercourse with a definite bed and banks that conducts flowing water continuously or periodically.

  • Promotions When an employee is promoted to a classification in a higher grade, he will move to the next higher rate within his new grade with a minimum increase of $15.00 per week, effective at the time of his promotion. However, this rate cannot exceed the maximum rate of the job on the wage schedule.

  • Customer System means the Customer's computing environment (consisting of hardware, software and/or telecommunications networks or equipment) used by the Customer or the Supplier in connection with this Contract which is owned by or licensed to the Customer by a third party and which interfaces with the Supplier System or which is necessary for the Customer to receive the Services;

  • Game ticket or "ticket" means an acceptable evidence of Play, which is a ticket produced in a manner that meets the specifications defined in the rules of each Selling Lottery and Rule 31 (Play Validation) and is a physical representation of the Play or Plays sold to the player or is a properly and validly registered ticketless transaction Play.

  • Ticket means a list of:

  • Open Wireless Network means any network or segment of a network that is not designated by the State of New Hampshire’s Department of Information Technology or delegate as a protected network (designed, tested, and approved, by means of the State, to transmit) will be considered an open network and not adequately secure for the transmission of unencrypted PI, PFI, PHI or confidential DHHS data.

  • Users means, for Services, those employees, contractors, and end users, as applicable, authorized by You or on Your behalf to use the Services in accordance with this Agreement and Your order. For Services that are specifically designed to allow Your clients, agents, customers, suppliers or other third parties to access the Services to interact with You, such third parties will be considered “Users” subject to the terms of this Agreement and Your order.

  • Catalog means the available list of tangible personal property or services, in the most current listing, regardless of date, during the life of the contract, that takes the form of a catalog, price list, schedule, shelf price or other form that:

  • End Users means a Third Party residence or business that subscribes to Telecommunications Services provided by any of the Parties at retail. As used herein, the term “End User(s)” does not include any of the Parties to this Agreement with respect to any item or service obtained under this Agreement.

  • Video programming means programming provided by, or generally considered comparable to programming provided by, a television broadcast station.

  • Game has the meaning ascribed to that term in the Control Act;

  • End User means, in the event that the Services or Deliverables involve the use of any information systems, any and all UNICEF employees, consultants and other personnel and any other external users collaborating with UNICEF, in each case, authorized by UNICEF to access and use the Services and/or Deliverables.

  • Advertiser means the company that wishes to advertise its brands, products, and/or services via the Advertisements.

  • XXXXX System means the XXXXX filing system of the Commission and the rules and regulations pertaining thereto promulgated by the Commission in Regulation S-T under the Securities Act and the Exchange Act, in each case as the same may be amended or succeeded from time to time (and without regard to format).

  • Common Channel Signaling (CCS) means an out-of-band, packet-switched, signaling network used to transport supervision signals, control signals, and data messages. It is a special network, fully separate from the transmission path of the public switched network. Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties, the CCS protocol used by the Parties shall be SS7.

  • Customer/s for the purpose of this Offer shall mean a person who is using ICICI bank Netbanking services or holds a valid ICICI Bank VISA/MASTER Debit card/Prepaid card or holds a valid VISA/MASTER Credit Card issued by ICICI Bank and who has received communication from ICICI Bank with respect to the Offer.

  • Programming means the process of organisation, decision-making and allocation of financial resources in several stages, with the involvement of partners in accordance with Article 5, intended to implement, on a multi-annual basis, joint action by the Union and the Member States to achieve the objectives of the Union strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth;

  • Packages shall include bulk tankers, minibulks, flexis, crates, boxes or other containers and pallets.

  • Customer Systems means the Customer's information technology infrastructure, including computers, software, hardware, databases, electronic systems (including database management systems) and networks, whether operated directly by Customer or through the use of third-party services.

  • BT Network means the communications network owned or leased by BT and used to provide a Service.

  • Launch means the intentional ignition of the first-stage motor(s) of the Launch Vehicle intended to place or try to place a Launch Vehicle (which may or may not include any Transfer Vehicle, Payload or crew) from Earth:

  • Digital network means any online-enabled application, software, website or system offered or utilized by a transportation network company that enables the prearrangement of rides with transportation network company drivers.

It is a special network, fully separate from the transmission path of the public switched network. Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties, the CCS protocol used by the Parties shall be SS7.

  • Web Portal means an online entity through which persons are able to effect transactions in securities.

  • Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, physical facilities of the Interconnected Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan.
