Examples of Citizen of the European Union in a sentence
The directive 2004/38/EC was transposed into Estonian legal system most importantly by the provisions of the Citizen of the European Union Act in 2006.1 The act governs principal aspects of entry to and res- idence in Estonia of citizens of the European Union and their family members and provides the grounds for imposing the obligation to leave Estonia and the prohibition of entry to Estonia on the citizens of the European Union and their family members.
There is no special treatment for Citizen of the European Union concerning the access to the study grants.
In December 2015, Citizen of the European Union Act was amended to unify Estonian legislation with the directives 2004/38/EC and 2002/90/EC.

Art 14 4a-b The Citizen of the European Union Act foresees, that so far a person can be viewed as a worker or as a job-seeker, he or she can be viewed as a legally residing person and therefore may not be expelled from Estonia.According to the CEUA §8 the right to stay for citizen of the Member State can be re- stricted, if there is proof that he or she could be a danger for public order, state security or health of other persons.

The UK citizens who are already residing in Estonia will be able to continue to reside here on the basis of the principle of legitimate expectations, therefore they will be legal residents of Estonia for some time even in case of no-deal Brexit.The UK citizens who have lived in Estonia for at least five years and have received the right of permanent residence on the basis of the Citizen of the European Union Act have the right to acquire a long-term residence permit of Estonia after no-deal Brexit.
A resident of Estonia who has residence in several states has the right to receive the benefit if he or she is a resident within the meaning of subsection 6 (1) of the Income Tax Actor if he or she resides permanently in Estonia within the meaning of the Aliens Act or the Citizen of the European Union Act.
