Claim Event definition

Claim Event means the insured risks under this policy, being Death and/or Disability and/or Loss of Income of an Insured.

Claim Event means, in relation to a Transaction, one or more of the following events or occurrences (as applicable):

Claim Event means any event or incident giving rise to a claim, action, proceeding, damage, loss, cost, expense or liability incurred by or against, or made or recovered by or against, the Company however arising and whether present, future or contingent;

Examples of Claim Event in a sentence

• If the proceeds are received during the delinquency or after termination of the loan, the funds should be listed as loss proceeds credit on the Basic Claim Event.

• Upon the occurrence of any Insured Claim Event/ Personal Accident that may give rise to a claim under this Policy, then the Policyholder/ Insured Person, must notify Us either at the call centre or in writing, immediately and within seven (7) days of occurrence of such Event.

• Guardrisk is not liable after 12 (twelve) months have expired from the date of the Claim Event, unless the claim is the subject of a pending court case between Guardrisk and the Insured, or subject to arbitration, or is a claim for sums of money for which the Insured may become liable.

More Definitions of Claim Event

Claim Event means an accident, sickness and costs that arise for the insured. A claim event is deemed to have occurred at the time of the accident or at the time the sickness manifested itself. ‘Mani- fested itself’ means that the insured has such symp- toms for the first time whereby the insured realised or ought to have realised that a sickness may exist.

Claim Event means the death of the Principal Insured or Spouse, or retrenchment of the Principal Insured;

Claim Event means the Natural Death or the Accidental Death, of the Insured or the diagnosis of the Dread Disease (as defined);
