Dread Disease definition

Dread Disease means any of the following:
Dread Disease means specifically defined critical, prohibitive cost conditions that may influence the longevity of life. The terms of this policy specify only the following conditions as Dread Diseases: heart attack, coronary artery disease requiring surgery, heart valve replacement, aorta surgery, stroke, cancer, acute kidney failure, brain tumors and major organ transplants.
Dread Disease means a dread disease as defined in the POLICY and shall, entail the following contingent events:

  • These options currently include: • Group-term Life Insurance • Whole Life Insurance • Short Term Disability Insurance • Cancer &Dread Disease Insurance • Critical Illness Insurance • Accident Insurance • Unreimbursed Medical ANNUITIES Employees are eligible to participate in a 403(b) or 457(b) annuity plan if they so choose.

More Definitions of Dread Disease

Dread Disease means a dread disease as defined in the POLICY and shall, without in any way limiting or derogating from the generality of such definition, entail the following contingent events:
Dread Disease means in respect of i) the Dread Disease Benefits in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy; and ii) the Basic Needs Benefits in terms of the Thari ya Baruti Basic Needs Benefit Policy, the medical occurrence(s) and/or condition(s) contracted, experienced or suffered by the Policyholder as described in Annexe E.3 in terms of the Dread Disease Categories, diagnosed by a Medical Practitioner, as set out in a Medical Report;
Dread Disease means any of the following: Heart Attack, Chronic Coronary, Stroke, Cancer, Kidney Failure, Major Organ Transplant, Paraplegia and Blindness as specifically defined in clause 7 of this Policy.
Dread Disease expense means reasonable and customary charges for all medically necessary treatment and services provided by or on the order of a physician to the insured person, on acquiring a dread disease as defined herein, during the policy period and diagnosed during the same period.
Dread Disease means in respect of the Dread Disease Benefits in terms of the Dread Disease and Personal Accident Policy and the Basic Needs Benefit Policy, the medical occurrence(s) and/or condition(s) contracted, experienced or suffered by the Policyholder as described in Annexe E.3 in terms of the Dread Disease Categories, diagnosed by a Medical Practitioner, as set out in a Medical Report;
Dread Disease expense means all medically necessary treatment (including initial diagnosis tests and investigations) and services provided by or on the order of a specialist physician to the insured person, on acquiring a dread disease.
