Clear wood coating definition

Clear wood coating means a clear and semi-transparent coating, including lacquers and varnishes, applied to a wood substrate, to provide a transparent or translucent solid film.

  • Nuclear coating means a protective coating formulated and recommended to seal porous surfaces such as steel (or concrete) that otherwise would be subject to intrusions by radioactive materials. These coatings must be resistant to long-term (service life) cumulative radiation exposure [ASTM method D4082], relatively easy to decontaminate, and resistant to various chemicals to which the coatings are likely to be exposed [ASTM method D3912].

  • Furniture coating means any paint designed for application to room furnishings including, but not limited to, cabinets (kitchen, bath and vanity), tables, chairs, beds, and sofas.

  • Wood cleaner means a product labeled to clean wooden materials including but not limited to decking, fences, flooring, logs, cabinetry, and furniture. “Wood Cleaner” does not include “Dusting Aid,” General Purpose Cleaner,” “Furniture Maintenance Product,” “Floor Wax Stripper,” “Floor Polish or Wax,” or products designed and labeled exclusively to preserve or color wood.

  • Antenna coating means a coating labeled and formulated exclusively for application to equipment and associated structural appurtenances that are used to receive or transmit electromagnetic signals.

  • Flow coating means a coating labeled and formulated exclusively for use by electric power companies or their subcontractors to maintain the protective coating systems present on utility transformer units.

Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.
