CO2 stream definition

CO2 stream means a flow of substances that results from CO2 capture processes;
CO2 stream means CO2 that has been captured from an emission source (e.g., a power plant), plus incidental associated substances derived from the source materials and the capture process, and any substances added to the stream to enable or improve the injection process.
CO2 stream means a flow of substances that results from carbon dioxide capture processes;

Examples of CO2 stream in a sentence

  • For purpose of comparison to this threshold, the supplier must include the sum of the CO2 that it captures from its production process units for purposes of supplying CO2 for commercial applications or that it captures from a CO2 stream to utilize for geologic sequestration, and the CO2 that it extracts or produces from a CO2 production well for purposes of supplying for commercial applications or that it extracts or produces to utilize for geologic sequestration.

  • Energy is required for regeneration, to pump sorbet and air through the contacting system, and to compress the CO2 stream for pipeline transport or sequestration.

  • An air capture system (as we define it) removes CO2 from the air and delivers a pure CO2 stream for sequestration.

  • The minimum energy needed to extract CO2 from a mixture of gases in which the CO2 has an partial pressure p0 and to deliver it as a pure CO2 stream at final pressure p is set by the enthalpy of mixing, k T ln (p/p0), where k is the Boltzmann constant (8.3 J mol−1 K−1) and T is the working temperature.

  • Additional removal of air pollutants leaves a nearly pure CO2 stream that can be sent directly to storage, as depicted in Figure 8.
