Colorado River water means any surface water diverted from the main stem stream of the Colorado River, except Central Arizona Project water, which is obtained through a contract with the United States Secretary of the Interior. For purposes of this Article, Colorado River water does not include CAP water.
Colorado River water means the waters of the Colorado River within the United States, including: (1) the waters of the reservoirs thereon; (2) waters of all tributaries to the Colorado River within the United States, other than tributaries located within Arizona; (3) all water beneath the surface of the Earth that is hydraulically connected to the Colorado River within the United States; and (4) all water beneath the surface of the Earth that is hydraulically connected to tributaries to the Colorado River within the United States, other than tributaries located within Arizona. The definition of Colorado River Water in this Agreement and the Act shall only be used for purposes of interpreting this Agreement and the Act and shall not be used for any interpretation of any other provision of applicable federal law including for example, the Colorado River Compact, the Boulder Canyon Project Act of 1928, 43 U.S.C. § 617d, the Colorado River Basin Project Act, 43 U.S.C. § 1501, or any contacts or agreements entered into pursuant thereto.

  • townsite in relation to the townsite to be established near the harbour means a townsite (whether or not constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act) primarily to facilitate the Company’s operations in and near the harbour and for employees of the Company and in relation to the mining areas means such a townsite or townsites or any other townsite or townsites which is or are established by the Company for the purposes of its operations and employees on or near the mining areas in lieu of a townsite constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act;

  • Hot water means water at a temperature of 110°F. or higher.

  • Roomer means a person occupying a dwelling unit that lacks a major bathroom or kitchen facility, in a structure where one or more major facilities are used in common by occupants of the dwelling unit and other dwelling units. Major facility in the case of a bathroom means toilet, or either a bath or shower, and in the case of a kitchen means refrigerator, stove or sink.

  • Rock means the body of consolidated or partially consolidated material composed of minerals at or below the land surface. Rock includes bedrock and partially weathered rock that is hard and cannot be dug with hand tools. The upper boundary of rock is "saprolite," "soil," or the land surface.

  • Shopping Center means the Shopping Center identified on the initial page hereof.

  • Greywater means all liquid wastes from showers, baths, sinks, kitchens and domestic washing facilities, but does not include toilet wastes;
