Connecting Facility Assignment definition

Connecting Facility Assignment or “CFA” is a slot or channel assignment of WSP identifying where their DS1s or DS3 will be connecting with the LEC. A CFA is the identifier or location where a WSP will interconnect with the incumbent Telecommunications Carrier. "Cross Connection" is a cabling scheme between cabling runs, subsystems, and equipment using patch cords or jumper wires that attach to connection hardware on each end.
Connecting Facility Assignment means the identification of a channel or circuit to be used from a high capacity facility.
