  • County highway means a public road that is constructed and

  • County Manager means the County Manager appointed by the County Council pursuant to the Luzerne County Charter;

  • County clerk means the county clerk or the county official in charge of elections.

  • County Engineer means the holder of the statutory office of County Engineer for Harris County or the employee designated by the County Engineer to perform a task required by these Regulations.

  • County of residence means the county in this state in which, at the time a person applies for or receives services, the person is living and has established an ongoing presence with the declared, good faith intention of living in the county for a permanent or indefinite period of time. The county of residence of a person who is a homeless person is the county where the homeless person usually sleeps. A person maintains residency in the county in which the person last resided while the person is present in another county receiving services in a hospital, a correctional facility, a halfway house for community-based corrections or substance-related treatment, a nursing facility, an intermediate care facility for persons with an intellectual disability, or a residential care facility, or for the purpose of attending a college or university.   • County department means the county or district department of human or social services.

  • Campsite means any place where any bedding, sleeping bag, or other material used for bedding purposes, or any stove or fire is placed, established or maintained for the purpose of maintaining a temporary place to live, whether or not such place incorporates the use of any tent, lean-to, shack, or any other structure, or any vehicle or part thereof.

  • County Executive means the County Executive of the County.

  • County Auditor means the Greenville County Auditor, or the person holding any successor office of the County.

  • Anchorage means the Municipality of Anchorage.

  • County Superintendent means the Executive County Superintendent of Schools designated by the Department of Education for this school district.

  • County office means any officer, department, board, commission, agency, court, or other instrumentality of a county.

  • Circuit means any line, conductor, or other conduit between two terminals by which information is transmitted, and that is provided as part of the Service.

  • County authority means the board of county commissioners,

  • Compact state means a state, U.S. commonwealth, possession or trust territory which is a signatory to the interstate compact on the placement of children.

  • Lot, Corner means a lot abutting upon two (2) or more streets at their intersection.

  • Municipal Service Area means the geographical area within the legal boundaries of the Municipality where the Company has been granted rights hereunder in connection with, among other matters, Natural Gas Distribution Service, as altered from time to time;

  • townsite in relation to the townsite to be established near the harbour means a townsite (whether or not constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act) primarily to facilitate the Company’s operations in and near the harbour and for employees of the Company and in relation to the mining areas means such a townsite or townsites or any other townsite or townsites which is or are established by the Company for the purposes of its operations and employees on or near the mining areas in lieu of a townsite constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act;

  • Dewatering means the removal of water for construction activity. It can be a discharge of appropriated surface or groundwater to dry and/or solidify a construction site. It may require Minnesota Department of Natural Resources permits to be appropriated and if contaminated may require other MPCA permits to be discharged.

  • County Council means Greenville County Council, the governing body of the County.

  • Juvenile court means the district court of this state.
