Crown of the Road definition

Crown of the Road means the highest portion of a road cross-section, generally associated with the centerline of the road;

  • Freeboard means a factor of safety usually expressed in feet above a flood level for purposes of floodplain management.   • Freeboard height means for vapor degreasers the distance from the top of the vapor zone to the top of the degreaser tank. For cold cleaners, freeboard height means the distance from liquid solvent level in the degreaser tank to the top of the tank.

  • Shoreline means the upper reaches of the wash of the waves, other than storm and seismic waves, at high tide during the season of the year in which the highest wash of the waves occurs, usually evidenced by the edge of vegetation growth, or the upper limit of debris left by the wash of the waves.

  • Façade means the principal front or fronts of a building.
