Data Protection Service definition

Data Protection Service or “Encryption and Tokenization” means those services described in Section 2.3 below.
Data Protection Service means the service to protect Customer’s data on the AVM Cloud Platform.

Examples of Data Protection Service in a sentence

  • The Data Protection Service applies only to Card transactions sent from Merchant to NMS or its third party providers for authorization and interchange settlement pursuant to the Agreement, and specifically excludes electronic check transactions, closed-loop gift card transactions, STAR contactless transactions read in contactless mode, Xxxxxx Express Transactions, Voyager Transactions, and other Card types that are not capable of being Tokenized.

  • Merchant will not file any action, in any forum, that challenges the ownership of the Data Protection Service, any related software, materials or documentation.

  • If any portion of the Data Protection Service contains any copyright notice or any other legend denoting the proprietary interest of NMS or any third party, Merchant will not remove, alter, modify, relocate or erase such notice or legend on such item.

  • NMS provides the following limited warranty to Merchant with respect to the Data Protection Service: SUBJECT TO SECTION 9.10, NMS WARRANTS TO MERCHANT THAT THE TOKEN RETURNED TO MERCHANT AS A RESULT OF USING THE DATA PROTECTION SERVICE CANNOT BE USED TO INITIATE A SALE TRANSACTION BY AN UNAUTHORIZED PERSON/ENTITY OUTSIDE OF MERCHANT’S COVERED SYSTEMS.

  • Any rights with respect to the Data Protection Service not expressly granted by NMS in this Section 9 are withheld.

  • Any rights with respect to the Data Protection Service not expressly granted by Processor in this Addendum are deemed withheld.

Related to Data Protection Service

  • Data Protection means the implementation of appropriate administrative, technical or physical means to guard against unauthorized intentional or accidental disclosure, modification, or destruction of data.

  • flight information service means a service provided for the purpose of giving advice and information useful for the safe and efficient conduct of flights;

  • Applicable Data Protection Legislation means any national or internationally binding data protection laws or regulations (including but not limited to the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (“DSG”)) including any requirements, guidelines and recommendations of the competent data protection authorities applicable at any time during the term of this DPA to, as the case may be, the Data Controller or the Data Processor;

  • Generation Service means the sale of electricity, including ancillary services such as the provision of reserves, to a Customer by a Competitive Supplier.

  • Human service zone means a county or consolidated group of counties administering human services within a designated area in accordance with an agreement or plan approved by the department.

  • Application Services means the hosted applications and related services as described in Exhibit A.

  • Cable television service means the one-way transmission to subscribers of video programming and other programming service and subscriber interaction, if any, that is required for the selection or use of the video programming or other programming service.

  • Implementation Services has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Data Protection Regulation means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 20161 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

  • Education Services means training services performed or delivered by Company.

  • Data Protection Legislation means the Data Protection Act 1998 and all applicable laws and regulations relating to processing of personal data and privacy, including where applicable the guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or relevant Government department in relation to such legislation;

  • 911 Service means a universal telephone number which gives the public direct access to the Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”). Basic 911 service collects 911 calls from one or more local exchange switches that serve a geographic area. The calls are then sent to the correct authority designated to receive such calls.

  • Data Protection Laws means all laws and regulations that govern the access, use, disclosure, or protection of Personal Data to which a party is subject with respect to the Service or the Software.

  • telecommunication service means service of any description (including electronic mail, voice mail, data services, audio text services, video text services, radio paging and cellular mobile telephone services) which is made available to users by means of any transmission or reception of signs, signals, writing, images and sounds or intelligence of any nature, by wire, radio, visual or other electromagnetic means;

  • Respite services means a temporary period of relief and support for individuals and their families provided in a variety of settings. The intent is to provide a safe environment with staff assistance for individuals who lack an adequate support system to address current issues related to a disability. Respite may be provided for a defined period of time; respite is either planned or provided in response to a crisis.

  • European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.

  • UK Data Protection Legislation means all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK including the UK GDPR; the Data Protection Act 2018; the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC (as updated by Directive 2009/136/EC) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended.

  • EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;
