Delisting definition

Delisting means, in respect of a Reference Asset, that the Exchange announces that pursuant to the rules of the Exchange, the Reference Assets cease (or will cease) to be listed, traded or publicly quoted on the Exchange for any reason (other than a Merger Event or Tender Offer) and are not immediately re-listed, re-traded or re-quoted on an exchange or quotation system located in the same country as such Exchange.
Delisting means, in respect of any relevant Shares, the Exchange announcing that pursuant to the rules of that Exchange, such Shares cease (or will cease) to be listed, traded, or publicly quoted on the Exchange for any reason (other than a Merger Event or Tender Offer) and are not immediately re-listed, re-traded, or re-quoted on an exchange or quotation system located in the same country as the Exchange (or, where the Exchange is within the European Union, in a member state of the European Union).
Delisting means that the Exchange announces that, pursuant to the rules of such Exchange, the Securities cease (or will cease) to be listed, traded or publicly quoted on the Exchange for any reason (other than a Merger Event or Tender Offer) and are not immediately re-listed, re-traded or re-quoted on an exchange or quotation system (an " Alternative Exchange") located in the same country as the Exchange (or where the Exchange is within the European Union or the United Kingdom, in any member stale of the European Union or the United Kingdom) or that the Calculation Agent determines that listing or trading of Securities on the Exchange (or an Alternative Exchange) has not commenced and will not commence in the foreseeable future prior to redemption of the Preference Shares.

Examples of Delisting in a sentence

  • Stocks to be delisted under compulsory delisting due to other circumstances will be subject to Delisting Arrangement Period (i.e.15 trading days).

  • No Delisting Arrangement Period will be imposed on the SSE/SZSE stocks which are to be delisted under compulsory delisting in the trading category.

Delisting. In addition to the provisions of Section 12.6(a)(iii) of the Equity Definitions, it shall also constitute a Delisting if the Exchange is located in the United States and the Shares are not immediately re-listed, re-traded or re-quoted on any of the New York Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ Global Select Market or the NASDAQ Global Market (or their respective successors); if the Shares are immediately re-listed, re-traded or re-quoted on any such exchange or quotation system, such exchange or quotation system shall be deemed to be the Exchange.
