Survivors Committee” means the Additional Tort Claimants Committee Of Sexual Abuse Survivors, appointed by the U.S. Trustee on December 19, 2018.
Dependent child means a child residing in an individual’s household who may legally be claimed as a dependent on the federal income tax of such individual.

Eligible Survivor means the Insured Employee's:
Surviving Spouse means the widow or widower, as the case may be, of a Deceased Participant or a Deceased Beneficiary (as applicable).
Dependents means dependents as defined in the Internal Revenue Code and as claimed in the taxpayer's federal income tax return for the taxable year or which the taxpayer would have been permitted to claim had the taxpayer filed a federal income tax return.
Dependent adult means a person 18 years of age or older who is unable to protect the person’s own interests or unable to adequately perform or obtain services necessary to meet essential human needs, as a result of a physical or mental condition which requires assistance from another.
Pre-Retirement Survivor Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 6.
Dependent children also means natural children, stepchildren, adopted children, children of a domestic partner, children placed for adoption and foster children.
Dependant child means a dependant person who is aged 0–17 years of age.
Qualified beneficiary means a beneficiary who, on the date the beneficiary's qualification is determined:
Qualified Beneficiaries has the meaning set forth in Section 4.12.
Qualified Preretirement Survivor Annuity means an annuity which is payable for the life of the Participant's surviving spouse.
Designated Beneficiary means the beneficiary or beneficiaries the Participant designates, in a manner the Administrator determines, to receive amounts due or exercise the Participant’s rights if the Participant dies or becomes incapacitated. Without a Participant’s effective designation, “Designated Beneficiary” will mean the Participant’s estate.

Dependent person means a person who cannot demonstrate financial independence from parents or persons other than a spouse and who does not meet the criteria for independence established in Section 5 of this administrative regulation.

Eligible Spouse means a spouse of an Eligible Retiree who satisfies the requirements for eligibility described in the Eligibility section of this document, or an ex-spouse who is an Eligible Spouse with rights to coverage as an Eligible Spouse pursuant to a court order recognized by SHARP. Former Spouse means the individual who is considered by Applicable Laws to be the Annuitant’s former spouse or common-law partner;
Survivor s Option' means, where applicable, the right of a holder of a Note to require the Company to repay such Note prior to its Stated Maturity upon the death of the owner of such Note, subject to the provisions hereof relating to such option."
Death Benefit means the insurance amount payable under the Certificate at death of the Insured, subject to all Certificate provisions dealing with changes in the amount of insurance and reductions or termination for age or retirement. It does not include any amount that is only payable in the event of Accidental Death.
Dependant means -
Death means death resulting from an injury or occupational disease;
Disabled individual means a person older than 13 years of age who by reason of age or physical or mental disease, defect, or injury is substantially unable to protect the person's self from harm or to provide food, shelter, or medical care for the person's self.
