DHB Hospital definition

DHB Hospital means a DHB’s hospital and/or an associated health service that is provided by a DHB and for which that DHB procures medical devices;
DHB Hospital means a DHB, including its hospital or associated provider unit for which that District Health Board purchases pharmaceuticals;
DHB Hospital means a DHB, including its hospital or associated provider unit for which that District Health Board purchases medical devices;

  • In the event of an emergency or disaster affecting any DHB Hospital, or an emergency or disaster on a national level, you will use your best endeavours to provide such quantities of the Pharmaceutical as are required by the relevant DHB Hospital(s).

  • In general, a DHB Hospital may not Give an Unlisted pharmaceutical, or a Hospital Pharmaceutical outside of any relevant DHB Restrictions.

  • You must notify the DHB Hospital or Logistics Provider immediately if you become aware that you or your Personnel are or may be in breach or are likely to be in breach of clause20.1 or clause 20.2 and the DHB Hospital or Logistics Provider may deny access to any DHB Hospital’s site to any of your Personnel who do not comply with the requirements of this clause.

  • The Schedule describes the situations under which a Subsidy is payable and/or a product can be used in a DHB Hospital.

  • Where a DHB Hospital has Given a pharmaceutical to a patient prior to 1 July 2013, the DHB Hospital may continue to Give that pharmaceutical if it is considered that there would be significant adverse clinical consequences from ceasing or switching treatment, in the following circumstances:a the pharmaceutical is an Unlisted pharmaceutical, orb treatment of the patient would not comply with any relevant DHB Restrictions.

  • Subsidies for Community Pharmaceuticals may be paid against a Prescription (including DHB Hospital chart), PSO, BSO, Quitcard and Direct Provision.

  • public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority. For purposes of this subrule, a “public hospital” must also meet the requirements of Iowa Code section 249J.3. Under Iowa Code section 249J.3, a “public hospital” must be licensed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 135B and governed pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 145A (merged hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347 (county hospitals), Iowa Code chapter 347A (county hospitals payable from revenue), or Iowa Code chapter 392 (creation by city of a hospital or health care facility). For the purposes of this definition, “public hospital” does not include a hospital or medical care facility that is funded, operated, or administered by the Iowa department of human services, Iowa department of corrections, or board of regents, or the Iowa Veterans Home.

  • General hospital means a subclass of hospital that provides surgical services and emergency services.

  • SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.

  • Mental Hospital means a health care facility (or its psychiatric unit) which:

  • Transplant hospital means a hospital that furnishes organ transplants and other medical and surgical specialty services required for the care of transplant patients.

  • Rural hospital means a hospital that meets both of the following:

  • o GENERAL HOSPITAL means a hospital that is designed to care for medical and surgical patients with acute illness or injury.

  • Psychiatric hospital means an Institution constituted, licensed, and operated as set forth in the laws that apply to Hospitals, which meets all of the following requirements:

Industry allowance means an allowance to compensate for the following disabilities associated with construction work: Insulation includes handling charcoal, pumice, granulated cork, silicate of cotton, insulwool, slag wool, limpet fibre, vermiculite or other recognise insulating materials of a like nature, associated with similar disability in its use. This will also apply where an employee is working in the immediate vicinity who is affected by the use of such materials. Irrigation installer means an employee employed or usually employed in executing any irrigation plumbing. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing such work will include the following: Lagger means a person that insulates or clads ducts, pipes, valves or any other thing used in or in connection with the plumbing and air conditioning industry for the protection of thermal and or acoustics.

  • Hospital/Nursing Home : means any institution established for in- patient care and day care treatment of sickness and / or injuries and which has been registered as a Hospital with the local authorities, wherever applicable, and is under the supervision of a registered and qualified Medical Practitioner OR must comply with all minimum criteria as under:

  • Non-participating private hospital means a hospital that does not have a hospital purchaser provider agreement with Latrobe. (If you use a non-participating private hospital you may incur a large out-of- pocket expense.)

  • Hospital pharmacist means an Iowa-licensed pharmacist who meets the requirements for participating in a hospital practice protocol as determined by the hospital’s P&T committee.
