Hours of paid Standby Duty Assignment as defined in Section I below when an employee has used authorized Sick or Annual Leave during the scheduled work week.
A candidate maintains his/her eligibility to interview for the Supplemental Special Duty Assignment of Sergeant for up to 24 months from the date he/she was most recently considered to be a candidate.
The following procedures will be followed should there be a need to assign an Officer to fill the supplemental Special Duty Assignment of Sergeant pursuant to Article 20.3 of this Agreement.

The payment schedule will be delineated on the Extra Duty Assignment agreement.
In the event more than one equally qualified bargaining unit member at the site may be available for an Added Duty Assignment, seniority shall prevail.
Unless notified of an assignment for the current reserve duty day in accordance with Paragraph M upon check-out from a Reserve’s sequence, or upon completion of a Standby assignment at her/his home or Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) crew base, she/he shall be considered released from Reserve duty to begin her/his legal crew base rest period.
An Officer being relieved of this supplemental Special Duty Assignment of Sergeant either the Chief of Police or by his/her own choosing, will no longer have those responsibilities and will no longer be eligible to receive the supplemental pay and the take-home vehicle per Article 20.3 above.
