Early childhood developmental disorder definition

Early childhood developmental disorder means a childhood mental or physical impairment or combination of mental andphysical impairments that results in functional limitations in major life activities, accompanied by a diagnosis defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) or the International Classification of Disease (ICD). The term includes autism spectrum disorders, but does not include a learning disability.

  • Severe Intellectual Disability means a level of functioning severely below age expectations whereby in a consistent basis the student is incapable of giving evidence of understanding and responding in a positive manner to simple directions expressed in the child's primary mode of communication and cannot in some manner express basic wants and needs.

  • Therapeutic diet means meals served that are soft, low-fat, low-sodium or controlled calorie.
