Elective state official definition

Elective state official means any person who holds an elective state office as defined in s. 5.02 (23) or has been elected to an elective state office but has not yet taken office. A person who is appointed to fill a vacant elective state office is an elective state official.
Elective state official means any person who holds the office of governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state treasurer, attorney general, state superintendent, justice of the supreme court, court of appeals judge, circuit court judge, state senator, state representative to the assembly, and district attorney, or has been elected to such office but has not yet taken office. A person who is appointed to fill a vacant elective state office is also an elective state official.

SDPC (The Student Data Privacy Consortium): Refers to the national collaborative of schools, districts, regional, territories and state agencies, policy makers, trade organizations and marketplace providers addressing real-world, adaptable, and implementable solutions to growing data privacy concerns.

  • Election official means any election officer, election judge, or poll worker.

  • Code official means the Code Enforcement Officer, anyone fulfilling the duties of the Code Enforcement Officer on either a temporary or permanent basis, or any designee of the City Manager, the Director of the Department of Planning and Development Services, or the Code Enforcement Officer.

  • Elective Surgery means non-emergency surgery which is medically necessary, but can be delayed for at least 24 hours.

  • Elective abortion means the intentional use of an instrument, drug, or other substance or device to terminate a woman's pregnancy for a purpose other than to increase the probability of a live birth, to preserve the life or health of the child after live birth, or to remove a fetus that has died as a result of natural causes, accidental trauma, or a criminal assault on the pregnant woman. Elective abortion does not include any of the following:

  • Participating State means a state that has executed a Participating Addendum or has indicated an intent to execute a Participating Addendum.

  • Elective Treatment and Procedures means any medical treatment or surgical procedure that is not medically necessary, including any service, treatment, or supplies that are deemed by the federal, or a state or local government authority, or by Us to be research or experimental or that is not recognized as a generally accepted medical practice.

  • Applicable Public Official or State Employee means any public official or state employee described in

  • Elective Course means an optional course to be selected by a student out of such courses offered in the same or any other Department/Centre.

  • Designated Official The agent authorized to act for the Agency.

  • Prospective state contractor means a person, business entity or nonprofit organization that (i) submits a response to a state contract solicitation by the state, a state agency or a quasi-public agency, or a proposal in response to a request for proposals by the state, a state agency or a quasi-public agency, until the contract has been entered into, or (ii) holds a valid prequalification certificate issued by the Commissioner of Administrative Services under section 4a-100. "Prospective state contractor" does not include a municipality or any other political subdivision of the state, including any entities or associations duly created by the municipality or political subdivision exclusively amongst themselves to further any purpose authorized by statute or charter, or an employee in the executive or legislative branch of state government or a quasi-public agency, whether in the classified or unclassified service and full or part-time, and only in such person's capacity as a state or quasi-public agency employee.

  • State elective position means any position held by any

  • State employee means state employee as defined in § 51.1-124.3, employee as defined in

  • State of emergency means a natural or man-made disaster or emergency for which a state of emergency has been declared by the President of the United States or the Governor, or for which a state of emergency has been declared by a municipal emergency management coordinator.

  • Commonwealth means the Commonwealth of Australia and includes the Government for the time being thereof;

  • Campaign for elective office means any activity in furtherance of an effort to influence the selection, nomination, election, or appointment of any individual to any federal, State, or local public office or office in a political organization, or the selection, nomination, or election of Presidential or Vice-Presidential electors, but does not include activities (i) relating to the support or opposition of any executive, legislative, or administrative action, (ii) relating to collective bargaining, or (iii) that are otherwise in furtherance of the person's official duties.

  • the Commonwealth means the Commonwealth of Australia as the party to this agreement;

  • Commonwealth Entity means any government body which is subject to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Xxx 0000 (Cth).

  • Management Official means General Manager, Manager, President, or Chief Executive Officer.
