Eligibility Service definition

Eligibility Service of an employee means the period or periods of service credited to him under the provisions of Article II for purposes of determining his eligibility to participate in the Plan as may be required under Article III or Article VI.

Examples of Eligibility Service in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of the Plan, there shall be no duplication of Years of Eligibility Service under the Plan by reason of service (or hours of service) in respect of any single period or otherwise.

  • If an Employee incurs a Break in Eligibility Service before satisfying the Plan's eligibility requirements, such Employee's Years of Eligibility Service before such Break in Eligibility Service will not be taken into account.

  • Each Employee of the Employer, except those Employees who belong to a class of Employees which is excluded from participation as indicated in the Adoption Agreement, shall be eligible to participate in this Plan upon the satisfaction of the age and Years of Eligibility Service requirements specified in the Adoption Agreement.

  • If an Employee who had been a Participant becomes ineligible to participate because he or she is no longer a member of an eligible class of Employees, but has not incurred a Break in Eligibility Service, such Employee shall participate immediately upon his or her return to an eligible class of Employees.

Eligibility Service means Company service while an Eligible Executive.

It may include certain types of non-Hydro One regular service purchased under special provisions. It generally excludes leaves of absence without pay except where the employee elects to pay the pension contribution. The exceptions are detailed in the pension rules. Eligibility Service (ES) is used as an eligibility criterion for early retirement and the associated early retirement discounts; and in conjunction with Membership Service (i.e., the service subsequent to the date actually joining/started contributing to the Plan) and Age, to determine death and termination benefit entitlements.
Eligibility Service means a twelve (12) month eligibility period in which an employee is credited with at least one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service. The initial eligibility period shall begin on the employee’s initial Date of Hire. Subsequent eligibility periods shall change to the first (1st) day of the Plan Year for any eligibility period beginning during or after an eligibility period in which an employee is credited with fewer than one thousand (1,000) Hours of Service.
Eligibility Service means service for any period during which an Employee receives credit for Hours of Service for a Zions Employer.
