Emergent Services definition

Emergent Services means the services necessary and appropriate to treat an Emergent Condition.
Emergent Services means any service which is rendered to a patient: (1) presenting to the Emergency Department and determined to have a medical condition that without immediate medical attention would result in serious harm to the patient, whether or not the patient is admitted to Hospital or treated and released, or (2) presenting as a direct admission with a medical condition that without immediate medical attention would result in serious harm to the patient.

  • Under the Enhanced Financial Assistance Program, Uninsured Patients having household incomes at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line and insufficient assets may, depending upon their assets and liabilities, qualify for Enhanced Financial Assistance in the form of free Emergent Services and other services required to be provided by SMMC under EMTALA, subject (in most circumstances) to application for Medicaid, and for discounted pricing for other Covered Services.

  • If the Covered Services are Emergent Services or services that the Hospital is otherwise required to provide under EMTALA, then the Hospital will provide such Covered Services without requiring any advance deposit or prepayment.

  • Replacement Services means any services which are substantially similar to any of the Services and which the Customer receives in substitution for any of the Services following the Call Off Expiry Date, whether those services are provided by the Customer internally and/or by any third party;

  • Management Services means the services specified in sub-clauses 3.1 to 3.8 as indicated affirmatively in Boxes 5 to 12.

  • Outplacement Services means professional outplacement services determined by the Employer to be suitable to the Executive’s position. The maximum amount that the Employer will pay for such services is set forth on the first page of the Agreement.
