Vote Limit means the percentage interest specified in a Vote Limit Certificate by a Vote Limited Member pursuant to which such Member (together with such Vote Limited Member’s affiliates) will be irrevocably limited to such Vote Limit in any vote taken under Sections 2.1, 2.8, 2.9 and 8.2.

Long-term care means the system through which the Department provides a broad range of social and health services to eligible adults who are aged, blind, or have disabilities for extended periods of time. This includes nursing homes and state hospitals (Eastern Oregon and Oregon State Hospitals).
Captive insurance company means a pure captive insurance company, association captive insurance company, captive reinsurance company, sponsored captive insurance company, special purpose captive insurance company, or industrial insured captive insurance company formed or licensed under this chapter. For purposes of this chapter, a branch captive insurance company must be a pure captive insurance company with respect to operations in this State, unless otherwise permitted by the director.
Life insurance means insurance coverage on human lives including benefits of endowment and annuities, and may include benefits in the event of death or dismemberment by accident and benefits for disability income and unless otherwise specifically excluded, includes individually issued annuities.
Lower explosive limit (LEL) means the concentration of a compound in air below which a flame will not propagate if the mixture is ignited.
Insurance holding company system means a group of two or more affiliated persons, at least one of whom is an insurer.
Evergreen means a contract for a tariff with variable prices, which continues on a rolling basis until it is cancelled by either you or us in accordance with clause 10;
Long-term care insurance means group insurance that is authorized by the retirement system for retirants, retirement allowance beneficiaries, and health insurance dependents, as that term is defined in section 91, to cover the costs of services provided to retirants, retirement allowance beneficiaries, and health insurance dependents, from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care providers, adult day care providers, and other similar service providers.
Mutual holding company means that term as defined in section 10(o) of the home owners' loan act, chapter 64, titles III and IX of Public Law 101-73, 12 U.S.C. 1467a, and OTS regulations governing mutual holding companies.
Asia means Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, North Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
long-term insurance business means the business of providing or undertaking to provide policy benefits under long-term policies, but does not include -
Association captive insurance company means a company that insures risks of the member organizations of the association and their affiliated companies.
