Environmental and Social Standards and Guidelines definition

Environmental and Social Standards and Guidelines means sector-specific guidelines and performance standards that contain best environmental and social practices to be implemented by the company in the design, operation, and maintenance of all its facilities, plants, and equipment, pursuant to the Sustainability Policy and other guiding regulations and documents listed in the Environmental and Social Action Plan.
Environmental and Social Standards and Guidelines means IFC sector-specific guidelines and IFC performance standards that contain best international environmental and social practices to be implemented by the Borrower and its Subsidiaries in the design, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of all its facilities, plants, and equipment, pursuant to the Sustainability Policy and other guiding regulations and documents;

  • Design, build, operate, and maintain all of the Borrower’s facilities, plants, and equipment in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Environmental and Social Action Plan, the Environmental and Social Legislation, the Environmental and Social Standards and Guidelines, and the Sustainability Policy.

  • Environmental and Social Standards or “ESSs” means, collectively:

  • Environmental and Social Management Plan or “ESMP” means a site-specific environmental and social management plan to be prepared in accordance with the parameters laid down in the ESMF and acceptable to the Association, setting forth a set of mitigation, monitoring, and institutional measures to be taken during the implementation and operation of the Project activities to eliminate adverse environmental and social impacts, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, and including the actions needed to implement these measures.

  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessment or “ESIA” means a site-specific report, to be prepared in accordance with the parameters laid down in the ESMF (as hereinafter defined) and acceptable to the Association, identifying and assessing the potential environmental and social impacts of the activities to be undertaken for the Project, evaluating alternatives, and designing appropriate mitigation, management, and monitoring measures.

  • Codes and Standards means all the applicable codes and standards as indicated in the Technical Specification.

  • Web Site Accessibility Standards/Specifications means standards contained in Title 1 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 206.

  • Operational requirements means the need to ensure that the Agency is to be operated as effectively, efficiently and economically as possible.

  • Environmental and Safety Requirements means all federal, state, local and foreign statutes, regulations, ordinances, codes and other provisions having the force and effect of law, all judicial and administrative orders and determinations, all contractual obligations and all common law concerning public health and safety, worker health and safety, and pollution or protection of the environment, including all those relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, labeling, testing, processing, discharge, release, threatened release, control or cleanup of, or exposure to, any hazardous materials, substances or wastes, chemical substances or mixtures, pesticides, pollutants, contaminants, toxic chemicals, petroleum products or byproducts, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, noise or radiation, as previously, now or hereafter in effect.

  • Service Level Standards has the meaning ascribed thereto in Section 2.1 hereof.

  • Quality Standards means the quality standards published by BSI British Standards, the National Standards Body of the United Kingdom, the International Organisation for Standardization or other reputable or equivalent body, (and their successor bodies) that a skilled and experienced operator in the same type of industry or business sector as the Contractor would reasonably and ordinarily be expected to comply with, and as may be further detailed in the Specification Schedule.
