The role of the Vetting Panel is to decide if an Applicant or Existing Official is Eligible to be, or remain in office as, an Official in accordance with the Constitution, the Rules and Regulations.
A person seeking election or applying to be an Official (Applicant), or to remain in office as an Official (Existing Official), shall be Eligible.
If the Vetting Panel decides, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations, that an Applicant or Existing Official has not satisfied an Integrity Check or that any of the circumstances listed in Article 65.34 (Ineligibility) apply to that person, the Vetting Panel or independent persons in Article 67.6, as the case may be, shall declare the person Ineligible.
The decision to approve that an Applicant and Existing Official or a Specified Staff Member is Eligible or otherwise shall be made by the Vetting Panel, except for prospective or current members of the Vetting Panel, in which case the decision shall be made by independent persons appointed by Council, in accordance with Article 67.6.
References to the Vetting Panel in these Rules shall be deemed to apply to the Screening Body where an Applicant, or Existing Official is a proposed or existing member of the Vetting Panel.
Where an Existing Official is an official of an Area Association or a Member Federation and is found Ineligible, the Vetting Panel shall notify such Area Association and Member Federation of the Vetting Panel’s decision.
The goal and objective of the proposed Third Amendment is in the best interests of the County in terms of public health and safety, as the County continuing to receive the Services, and thereby continuing to help ensure that the Target Population has access to adequate temporary assistance shelter and related services, will ultimately help ensure the health and safety of such persons.

Any appeal of a decision of Ineligibility under these Rules must be filed with the CAS within twenty-one (21) days of the Applicant, the Existing Official, or the Specified Staff Member receiving the written decision of the Vetting Panel.
If at any time during the course of conducting the Vetting Process, the Vetting Panel decides that any matter pertaining to the Applicant, Existing Official or Specified Staff Member should be referred to the Athletics Integrity Unit, the matter shall be promptly referred to the Head of the Athletics Integrity Unit.
