External HIE definition

External HIE means other entities and services that provide health information exchanges that are not part of the HIE, including national networks and regional health information exchange organizations, which provide for participation by CRISP, and through CRISP, CRISP Participant and Other Participants, in the exchange of health information on an intrastate, interstate, regional or national basis directly or through participation with a third party organization or entity, including but not limited to so-called national exchanges and vendors of Electronic Health Records.
External HIE means other entities and services that provide health information exchanges that are not part of the HIE, including national networks and regional health information exchange organizations, which provide for participation by CRISP, and through CRISP, CRISP Participant and Other Participants, in the exchange of health information on an intrastate, interstate, regional or national basis directly or through participation with a third party organization or entity, including but not limited to so-called national exchanges and vendors of Electronic Health Records. The DC HIE, as defined by 29 DCMR section 8701.1, is an “interoperable system of designated and registered HIE entities” and is not an HIE entity itself. For the avoidance of doubt, the DC HIE shall not be considered an External HIE for purposes of this Agreement.

Examples of External HIE in a sentence

  • Separate or different procedures may apply with respect to an External HIE, which may be described in External HIE Materials or as described in the CRISP Policies and Procedures.

  • Requirements as to a Participant’s use of the HIE in this Agreement shall, unless provided otherwise, also govern the Participant’s use of External HIEs with which CRISP participates, and participants in an External HIE shall have the same rights as Other Participants as relates to the use of the HIE, including access to Data.

  • Recipients shall be responsible under Applicable Law, as well as the terms of this Agreement, subject, as to the latter subject to the applicable provisions of terms of the applicable External HIE agreement for Data received through the HIE and may maintain such Data in accordance with the Recipient’s record retention policies and procedures.

  • The foregoing shall not apply to termination in an External HIE or Participant’s participation in an External HIE.

  • To the extent an External HIE Exchange has specific conditions or obligations relating to Data subject to special restrictions that are pertinent to the above, Participant is responsible for compliance.

  • Different provisions may apply to an External HIE or its participants which may be described in External HIE Materials and may also be described in Policies and Procedures.

  • Subject to approval by the Board of Advisors, CRISP may enter into agreements with External HIEs for the use of the HIE and Participant’s and Other Participants' Data for purposes of the External HIE (such as making and responding to queries provided or required by the particular External HIE) provided that (i) such an agreement is permitted under or is consistent with Applicable Law; (ii) CRISP posts notice of the material terms and conditions of participation with an External HIE Exchange.

  • Each party acknowledges that Data or obtained through HIE, External HIE, or CRISP Services is not a substitute for the clinical judgment of the subject Individual’s health care provider(s) or for a review of other medical records available to a Participant as to the subject Individual.

  • Participant will use the Data received from the HIE, External HIE, and CRISP Services only for Permitted Purposes in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement, provided that after Data is initially received by Participant through the HIE, External HIE or CRISP Services and it becomes part of the Participant’s records, other data or databases, such Data shall no longer be subject to the terms of this Agreement and shall be considered to be Participant’s data for all purposes.

  • Nothing in the Agreement or otherwise will impose responsibility or liability on Participant, CRISP and/or the HIE, External HIE, other Participants or a Data Source related to the accuracy, content or completeness of any Data or other information provided pursuant to the Agreement, in connection with a Message, through the Licensed Service or otherwise.

Related to External HIE

  • external borders means external borders as defined in Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/399;

  • external wall means an outer wall of a building even though adjoining to a wall of another building and also means a wall abutting on an interior open space of a building;

  • External Manager means either of the following: (1) A person who is seeking to be, or is, retained by a board or an investment vehicle to manage a portfolio of securities or other assets for compensation, or (2) A person who manages an investment fund and who offers or sells, or has offered or sold, an ownership interest in the investment fund to a board or an investment vehicle.

  • External User means a user of an Online Service that is not an employee, onsite contractor, or onsite agent of Customer or its Affiliates.

  • External Verifier means a qualified provider of third-party assurance or attestation services appointed by the Guarantor to review the Guarantor's statement of the Sustainability Performance Targets.

  • external company means a foreign company that is carrying on business, or non-profit activities, as the case may be, within the Republic, subject to section 23(2);

  • External dose means that portion of the dose equivalent received from any source of radiation outside the body.

  • External Resource means a generation resource located outside the metered boundaries of the PJM Region.

  • internal waters means any navigable river or waterway within the State of California.

  • External Directors means as defined in the Companies Law.

  • External floating roof means a storage vessel cover in an open tank top consisting of a double deck or pontoon single deck which rests upon and is supported by the petroleum liquid being contained and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and tank shell.

  • Internal Systems means the internal systems of each of the Corporation that are presently used in its Business or operations, including, computer hardware systems, software applications and embedded systems.

  • External Auditor as used here shall mean any registered public accounting firm engaged for the purpose of preparing or issuing an audit report or performing other audit, review or attest services for the Company. Each such external auditor shall report directly to the Committee. With respect to the external auditor, the Committee shall:

  • Internal Use means use of the Sprinklr Services for Customer’s and/or Customer Affiliates’ general business use, solely for the benefit of Customer and/or Customer Affiliates, but does not include use of the Sprinklr Services to provide any services for the benefit of third parties.

  • External Market Buyer means a Market Buyer making purchases of energy from the PJM Interchange Energy Market for consumption by end-users outside the PJM Region, or for load in the PJM Region that is not served by Network Transmission Service.

  • Internal dose means that portion of the dose equivalent received from radioactive material taken into the body.

  • External inspection means an inspection made when a boiler is in operation.

  • Internal floating roof means a cover or roof in a fixed-roof tank that rests upon or is floated upon, the liquid being contained, and is equipped with a closure seal or seals to close the space between the roof edge and the tank shell.

  • Internal Market Buyer means a Market Buyer making purchases of energy from the PJM Interchange Energy Market for ultimate consumption by end-users inside the PJM Region that are served by Network Transmission Service.

  • External Review means an independent review of an Adverse Benefit Determination conducted by an Independent Review Organization.

  • Automated external defibrillator means a defibrillator device to which all of the following apply:

  • External Account is your account at another financial institution (i) to which you are transferring funds from your Eligible Transaction Account; or (ii) from which you are transferring funds to your Eligible Transaction Account.

  • Internal appeal means an internal appeal to the relevant authority in terms of section 74;

  • External Debt means obligations (other than the Notes) of, or guaranteed by, the Republic for borrowed money or evidenced by bonds, notes or other similar instruments denominated or payable, or those which at the option of the holder thereof are so denominated or payable, in a currency other than the local currency of the Republic.

  • Internal Restructuring shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7.02(f) of this Agreement.

  • Internal audit means an independent appraisal activity established within a state agency as a control system to examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of other internal control systems within the agency.
