Fire Alarm Signaling System definition

Fire Alarm Signaling System means any signaling system which is designed to detect the existence of a fire, and any signaling system which is either automatically or manually activated to either audibly or visually notify anyone either on or off the property or within or without the structure of a fire condition. It shall not include systems or devices which are primarily designed to suppress or extinguish a fire. It is further defined that a separate fire alarm signaling system consists of a control unit, initiating circuits, signaling circuits, primary and secondary power supplies and is designed and installed to function as one system.
