Fire Inspector definition

Fire Inspector means an inspector or assistant inspector appointed under section 28 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004;
Fire Inspector means an employee of or volunteer assigned by a political subdivision to assist an organized fire department or public safety department whose job description, duties, or responsibilities include, or who is in a capacity that includes responsibility for, inspecting property for fire code violations and enforcing the general fire codes of the jurisdiction that he or she serves.

  • All members at the time of hiring and all times during employment shall hold a valid Florida driver’s license.‌ In addition, a member assigned to the Fire Inspections division shall hold a Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals Fire Inspector Certification at the time of their hiring or obtain such certification within twelve (12) months of their hire.
