First Nations Land Registry definition

First Nations Land Registry means the register maintained by the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development under clause 51 of the Framework Agreement;
First Nations Land Registry means the office referred to in section 2. (bureau d’enregistrement)
First Nations Land Registry means the registry established by Canada pursuant to clause 51 of the Framework Agreement and regulated by the First Nations Land Registry Regulations (SOR/2007-231) enacted pursuant to the First Nations Land Management Act, or any successor thereto approved by land law;

Examples of First Nations Land Registry in a sentence

  • Leases, permits and other land transactions under our Land Code must be registered in the INAC First Nations Land Registry System.

  • Dealings in the Lands are recorded in the First Nations Land Registry system maintained in Ottawa and accordingly the Land, the Head Lease and the Subleases are not and will not be registered in the British Columbia Land Title System and the Land Title Act and the Strata Property Act of British Columbia do not apply to the Land.

  • NOTE FOR FIRST NATIONS IN QUEBECThe First Nations Land Registry Regulations (SOR/2007-231) explains at s.22(1)d) that the registrar must record in the registry the date the document was executed (or in Quebec, signed according to all the required formalities for its validity) or, if there is more than one date indicated, the most recent date.

  • A written instrument registered in the First Nations Land Registry which does not include the certificate required under section 27.4 is void.

  • All documents pertaining to First Nation Land will be recorded in the First Nations Land Registry System (FNLRS).

  • The Lands Advisory Board and the Minister developed the First Nations Land Registry Regulations respecting the First Nation Lands Register, unlike the internal departmental policy for the Indian Act registry.

  • Harbour Master means the ABP Harbour Master or Dock Master for the Port (as appropriate) or their authorised representative;

  • Commercial real estate means real estate or an interest in real estate that is not any of the following:

  • Public university means a public university described in section 4, 5, or 6 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963.

  • Youth center means any public or private facility that is primarily used to host recreational or social activities for minors, including, but not limited to, private youth membership organizations or clubs, social service teenage club facilities, video arcades, or similar amusement park facilities.

  • community centre means any school, railway station, police station and other location providing a service to the community;

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Village means a village specified by the Governor by public notification to be a village for the purposes of this Part and includes a group of villages so specified.

  • International Registry means the international registry established pursuant to the Cape Town Treaty.

  • Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;

  • ESBD means the Electronic State Business Daily, the electronic marketplace where State of Texas bid opportunities over $25,000 are posted. The ESBD may currently be accessed at http://www.txsmartbuy.com/sp.

  • Community land trust means an entity that meets the requirements of section 462A.31, subdivisions 1 and 2.

  • Heritage means Heritage Bancorp Ltd.

  • South West Land Division means the South West Land Division as defined by Section 28 of the Land Act 1933-1971 excluding the area contained within the Metropolitan Area.

  • Indian means a person who is a member of an Indian Tribe. If the Contractor has reason to doubt that a person seeking employment preference is an Indian, the contractor shall grant the preference but shall require the individual within thirty (30) days to provide evidence from the Tribe concerned that the person is a member of that Tribe.

  • Central registry means the system maintained at the department that is used to keep a record of all reports filed with the department under this act in which relevant and accurate evidence of child abuse or child neglect is found to exist.

  • Registered Clubs Act means the Registered Clubs Act 1976 and any regulation made under the Registered Clubs Act 1976. Any reference to a provision of the Registered Clubs Act includes a reference to the same or similar provision in any legislation replacing, amending or modifying the Registered Clubs Act however that provision may be amended in that legislation.

  • International Register means the official collection of data concerning international registrations maintained by the International Bureau, which data the Agreement, the Protocol or the Regulations require or permit to be recorded, irrespective of the medium in which such data are stored;

  • CJER means the Judicial Council’ Education Division Center for Judicial Education and Research, which is the Judicial Council organization administering the Program.

  • SITC means the Standard International Trade Classification, Revision 3 (SITC, Rev. 3), published by the United Nations in Statistical Papers, Series M, No. 34/Rev. 3 (1986);

  • Paraplegia means the permanent Paralysis and functional loss of use of both lower limbs.
