POPI Act means the Protection of Personal Information Act, No.4 of 2013;
Code of Good Practice means the generic codes or the sector codes as the case may be;
FMC Act means the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.
ACNC Act means the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission Act 2012 (Cth).
Code of Practice means the Code Administration Code of Practice approved by the Authority and:
FW Act means the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
Society Act means the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia from time to time in force and all amendments to it;
Charter Act The Federal National Mortgage Association Charter Act (12 U.S.C. § 1716
Rail Safety Act means the Rail Safety Act 1998 (WA);
Business Corporations Act means the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) from time to time in force and all amendments thereto and includes all regulations and amendments thereto made pursuant to that Act;
FOI Act means the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and any subordinate legislation made under that Act or any code issued pursuant to sections 45 or 46 of that Act or any guidance issued by the Information Commissioner;
Education Act means the Education Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.2, as amended.
Certificate of Catholic Practice means a certificate issued by the family’s parish priest (or the priest in charge of the church where the family attends Mass) in the form laid down by the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. It will be issued if the priest is satisfied that at least one Catholic parent or carer (along with the child, if he or she is over seven years old) have (except when it was impossible to do so) attended Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation for at least five years (or, in the case of the child, since the age of seven, if shorter). It will also be issued when the practice has been continuous since being received into the Church if that occurred less than five years ago. It is expected that most Certificates will be issued on the basis of attendance. A Certificate may also be issued by the priest when attendance is interrupted by exceptional circumstances which excuse from the obligation to attend on that occasion or occasions. Commercial sex act means any sex act on account of which anything of value is given to or received by any person.
PBR Act means the Plant Breeder’s Rights Xxx 0000 (Cth) as amended from time to time.
UK Bribery Act means the United Kingdom Xxxxxxx Xxx 0000.
SEBI Act or “Act” means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992;
Chapter means a Chapter under this Part;
the 1961 Act means the Land Compensation Act 1961(d); “the 1965 Act” means the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965(e); “the 1980 Act” means the Highways Act 1980(f);
Corporations Act means the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);
chapters and “headings” mean the chapters and the four-digit headings used in the nomenclature which makes up the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System, referred to in this Protocol as "the Harmonized System" or "HS";
Cannabis Act means An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts, S.C. 2018, c. 16, as amended from time to time.
ECT Act means the Electronic Communications and Transaction Act No 25 of 2002, as amended;
the 1981 Act which means the Compulsory Purchase (Vesting Declarations) Act 1981.
Corporations Regulations means the Corporations Regulations 2001 (Cth).
Health and Safety Laws means all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, subordinate legislation, bye-laws, common law and other national, international, federal, European Union, state and local laws, judgments, decisions and injunctions of any court or tribunal, and codes of practice and/or guidance notes issued by any applicable government body or authority, public body, trade union, works council, or industry or regional sector authority to the extent that they relate to or apply to the health and safety of any person, including (but not limited to) any such requirements and obligations concerning Covid-19.
