Fully shielded definition
Fully shielded means that those fixtures shall be shielded in such a manner that light rays emitted by the fixture, either directly from the lamp or indirectly from the fixture, are projected below a horizontal plane running through the lower point on the fixture where light is emitted.
Fully shielded means outdoor light fixtures shielded or constructed so that no light rays are emitted by the installed fixture at angles above 15 degrees below the horizontal plane and also constructed so that the filament or light source is not visible to the naked eye when viewed from a point higher than 15 degrees below the horizontal plane.
Fully shielded means that the outdoor lighting fixture is constructed so that all of the light emitted by the fixture is projected below the horizontal plane of the lowest point of the fixture.
More Definitions of Fully shielded
Fully shielded means a light fixture constructed and installed in such a manner that all light emitted, either directly from the lamp or a diffusing element, or indirectly by reflection or refraction from any part of the fixture, is projected below the horizontal plane (from the bottom of the lamp).
Fully shielded means a light fixture constructed and installed in such a manner that all light emitted by the fixture, either directly from the lamp or a diffusing element, or indirectly by reflection or refraction from any part of the luminaire, is projected below the horizontal plane through the fixture’s lowest light-emitting part.
Fully shielded means no light is emitted above the horizontal plane located at the lowest point of the fixture’s shielding.
Fully shielded means provisions are made in a luminaire, internally or externally, to prevent light emissions from causing glare or light trespass impacts.
Fully shielded means a luminaire that is constructed in
Fully shielded means a luminaire constructed in a manner that all light emitted by the fixture, either directly from the lamp or a defusing element, or indirectly by reflection or refraction from any part of the luminaire is projected below the horizontal plane, as determined by photometric test or certified by the manufacturer. Any structural part of the luminaire providing this shielding shall be permanently affixed so that no light is able to be emitted above the horizontal plane.
Fully shielded means the lighting fixture is constructed so that it does not shine light above a 90-degree horizontal plane.
