Officially Designated Laboratory: An officially designated laboratory is a commercial laboratory authorized to do official work by the regulatory agency, or a milk industry laboratory officially designated by the regulatory agency for the examination of producer samples of Grade 'A' raw milk for pasteurization and commingled milk tank truck samples of raw milk for drug residues.
All Grade A raw milk for pasteurization and all Grade A pasteurized milk will be processed and pasteurized to conform with the following requirements.
Grade A raw milk for pasteurization, ultra pasteurization or aseptic processingTemperature Cooled to 50° F (10° C) or less withinfour (4) hours or less, of the commencement of the first milking, and to 45° F (7° C) or less within two hours after the completion of milking.
Manufacturing grade raw milk” means raw milk produced on a dairy farm which that does not have a currently valid permit issued by the board to sell Grade A raw milk for pasteurization.
