IFTA member jurisdiction definition

IFTA member jurisdiction means a jurisdiction that is a member of the International Fuel Tax Agreement. A list of jurisdictions and their membership statuses may be obtained by contacting the office of motor carrier services.

  • A person licensed under this section shall apply for an IFTA license to the jurisdiction in which it is based immediately upon notification that the jurisdiction has become an IFTA member jurisdiction.

  • A quarterly tax return must be filed even if the licensee does not operate or purchase taxable fuel in any IFTA member jurisdiction in a reporting quarter.

  • The applicant shall agree as part of the application that this state may withhold any refunds due if the applicant is delinquent in payment of fuel taxes due any IFTA member jurisdiction.

Except as specifically provided pursuant to section 411.9, a person who is restored to active service for purposes of applying for a pension under this chapter is not a member in good standing.

  • Reference Jurisdiction means, in respect of the Reference Currency, the country (or countries of the currency block) for which the Reference Currency is the lawful currency.

  • Eligible Jurisdiction means Australia, Canada, Cayman Islands, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
