IMO Convention definition

IMO Convention or “convention” means a convention, agreement or other suitable instrument drafted by the IMO in accordance with Article 2 of the Convention that established the IMO;
IMO Convention means the International Maritime Organization done at Geneva on 6 March 1948;

  • Chicago Convention means the Convention on International Civil Aviation, signed at Chicago on 7 December 1944, as amended, and its Annexes;

  • international voyage means a voyage from a country to which the present Convention applies to a port outside such country, or conversely.

  • Business Day Convention means the first following day that is a Business Day unless that day falls in the next calendar month, in which case that date will be the first preceding day that is a Business Day.

  • International Accounting Standards means the accounting standards approved by the International Accounting Standards Board from time to time.

  • Preceding Business Day Convention means that the relevant date shall be brought forward to the first preceding day that is a Business Day;

  • Conventional filtration treatment means a series of processes including coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration resulting in substantial particulate removal.

  • International Financial Reporting Standards or “IFRS” means the accounting standards issued or endorsed by the International Accounting Standards Board.
