Termination of irradiation means the stopping of irradiation in a fashion which will not permit continuance of irradiation without the resetting of operating conditions at the control panel.
Service Interruption means, in relation to the supply of electricity to an ICP the cessation of supply to that ICP for a period exceeding the time allowed for interruptions in the relevant Service Standard, other than in accordance with this agreement;
Relevant Force Majeure Event means a Force Majeure Event in relation to which an Affected Party is claiming relief under this Clause 17; and
Interruption means a reduction in non-firm transmission service due to economic reasons pursuant to Tariff, Part II, section 14.7.
Planned Service Interruption means a Service Interruption that has been scheduled to occur in accordance with Schedule 5;
Unplanned Service Interruption means any Service Interruption where events or circumstances prevent the timely communication of prior warning or notice to the Trader or any affected Customer;
Irradiation means the exposure of a living being or matter to ionizing radiation.
Stray radiation means the sum of leakage and scattered radiation.
Force Majeure Events means acts of war, domestic and/or international terrorism, civil riots or rebellions, quarantines, embargoes and other similar unusual governmental actions, extraordinary elements of nature or acts of God.
Interruptible means that either party may interrupt its performance at any time for any reason, whether or not caused by an event of Force Majeure, with no liability, except such interrupting party may be responsible for any Imbalance Charges as set forth in Section 4.3 related to its interruption after the nomination is made to the Transporter and until the change in deliveries and/or receipts is confirmed by Transporter.
Boiler means an enclosed fossil or other fuel-fired combustion device used to produce heat and to transfer heat to recirculating water, steam, or other medium.
Catastrophic illness or “injury” means an illness or injury that is expected to incapacitate the employee for an extended period of time, or that incapacitates a member of the employee’s family which incapacity requires the employee to take time off from work for an extended period of time to care for that family member, and taking extended time off work creates a financial hardship for the employee because he or she has exhausted all of his or her sick leave and other paid time off.
Generator Maintenance Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit in order to perform necessary repairs on specific components of the facility, if removal of the facility meets the guidelines specified in the PJM Manuals.
Explosion means the sudden release of energy sufficient to cause pressure waves and/or projectiles that may cause structural and/or physical damage to the surrounding of the vehicle."
Source of radiation means any radioactive material or any device or equipment emitting, or capable of producing, radiation.
Leakage radiation means radiation emanating from the diagnostic source assembly except for:
windstorm means straight line winds of at least 80 miles per
Emergency Maintenance means any period of maintenance for which, due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, Connaught is unable to provide prior notice of.
Scavenging means the unauthorized removal of solid waste from
Planned Maintenance means any Maintenance BT has planned to do in advance.
Major maintenance means the adjustment, repair or replacement of a component or module that could affect the accuracy of a measurement.
