Examples of Catastrophic illness in a sentence
Catastrophic illness or injury is defined as a life-threatening condition or combination of conditions affecting the mental or physical health of the employee, and includes, but is not limited to, the following: lengthy hospitalizations, necessary surgery requiring a lengthy recovery, or an ongoing treatment regimen requiring frequent time off work.
Catastrophic illness or injury shall be defined as any serious or life-threatening illness or injury that incapacitates the unit member for over ten (10) consecutive days.
Catastrophic illness or injury may also include an incapacitated member of the employee's immediate family if this results in the employee being required to take time off for an extended period of time in order to care for the family member and the employee has exhausted both all of their accrued vacation credits and all of their accrued sick leave credits which may be used for family care in accordance with the appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
Catastrophic illness or injury shall be defined as any illness or injury that incapacitates the Unit Member for over ten (10) consecutive duty days or incapacitates a member of the Unit Member’s family for over ten (10) consecutive days which requires the Unit Member to take time off from work to care for that family member.
Catastrophic illness or injury means an illness or injury that is expected to incapacitate the employee for an extended period of time, or that incapacitates a member of the employee’s family and requires the employee to take time off from work for an extended period of time to take care of that family member.
