Last Resort Service definition

Last Resort Service means the service provided by the Distribution Company pursuant to the Distribution Company’s tariffs, on file with the R.I.P.U.C.

Last Resort Service means the provision of Requirements by Seller at the Delivery Point to Narragansett to meet all needs of Last Resort Service Customers.

• Seller shall utilize the NEPOOL-GIS to transfer Load Obligations or NEPOOL-GIS Certificates, as applicable, to the Buyer’s certificate account in the number equal to the Delivered Energy for Last Resort Service in a month during the term of a Transaction.

• Seller shall be responsible for all transmission and distribution losses and the costs related to such losses and associated with the Requirements, namely, losses from the Delivery Point to the meters of the Last Resort Service Customers.

• The Buyer shall not be liable to Seller for any losses Seller may incur, including but not limited to lost revenues, and losses that may result from any change in Requirements, number or location of customers taking service, the location of the Delivery Point(s), the composition or components of market products or Requirements, or the market for electricity, or change in the Distribution Service Terms or the Last Resort Service Tariff.

• For purposes of certainty: Seller's obligations on the Commencement Date shall be to provide Requirements for all Last Resort Service Customers identified in the related Confirmation taking service as of and including the Commencement Date.

More Definitions of Last Resort Service

Last Resort Service means the service provided by the Distribution Company to a Customer who is not receiving Generation Service from a Supplier. For purposes of clarity, through December 31, 2020, Last Resort Service refers to standard offer service as provided by the Company in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws

Last Resort Service means the electric generation services provided by the Company, on or after January 1, 2007, to customers who are not eligible to receive Standard Service. The availability for this service shall be in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Company’s Generation Services tariff, on file with the DPUC.
