Examples of Leave for in a sentence

  • Note: Executive Order (EO) 13706, Establishing Paid Sick Leave for Federal Contractors applies to all contracts subject to the ▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇ Act for which the contract is awarded (and any solicitation was issued) on or after January 1, 2017.

  • Leave for the non-disability portion of childbirth may be taken before or after delivery.

  • Time spent on such meetings will not be considered leave under Article Leave for Association Business.

  • Leave for a qualifying exigency arising out of the fact that the employee’s spouse, registered domestic partner, child or parent is on covered active duty or called to active duty status in the Armed Forces.

  • Employees may substitute Bereavement Leave for available Annual Leave when integrating with State Disability Insurance.

  • Pregnant employees may also apply for a Nonoccupational Disability Leave for the term of disability as provided in Section 4.

  • Leave for adoption or ▇▇▇▇▇▇ care of a child may also be granted prior to placement if an absence from work is required.

  • An employee will not be eligible to receive payment under the terms of Bereavement Leave for any period in which she is receiving payments for holiday pay or vacation pay.

Related to Leave for

  • Leave Year means the year ending with the anniversary date of the employee’s appointment.

  • Leave of Absence means absent from work with permission.

  • Leave means authorized absence from duty by an employee during his or her regular or normal hours of work;

  • Credited service means the member's total period of service

  • Period of Service means the aggregate of all periods of service commencing with an Employee's first day of employment or reemployment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer and ending on the first day of a Period of Severance, or for benefit accrual purposes, ending on the severance from service date. The first day of employment or reemployment is the first day the Employee performs an Hour of Service. An Employee who incurs a Period of Severance of twelve (12) months or less will also receive service-spanning credit by treating any such period as a Period of Service for purposes of eligibility and vesting (but not benefit accrual). For purposes of benefit accrual, a Participant's whole year Periods of Service is equal to the sum of all full and partial periods of service, whether or not such service is continuous or contiguous, expressed in the number of whole years represented by such sum. For this purpose, fractional periods of a year will be expressed in terms of days.
