Limited Index Ratio means (a) in respect of any month or date, as the case may be, prior to the relevant Issue Date, the Index Ratio for that month or date, as the case may be, (b) in respect of any Limited Indexation Date after the relevant Issue Date, the product of the Limited Indexation Factor for that month or date, as the case may be, and the Limited Index Ratio as previously calculated in respect of the month or date, as the case may be, twelve months prior thereto; and (c) in respect of any other month, the Limited Index Ratio as previously calculated in respect of the most recent Limited Indexation Month;
Index Linked with respect to an amount at any time, means that the amount is adjusted as at each April 1st commencing April 1, 2015 by:
Index Linked Note means an Index Linked Interest Note and/or an Index Linked Redemption Note.
money market instrument means with respect of an Index Calculation Date the Stockholm Interbank Offered Rate 3 Months (the "Reference Interest Rate"), as published on Bloomberg page STIBB3M Index (or any replacement Bloomberg page which displays that rate) (the "Screen Page") around 11:00 a.m. (London time) on that day.
Money Market Instruments means instruments normally dealt in on the money
Variable Priced Equity Linked Instruments shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 4.13.
Limited Indexation Month means any month specified in the relevant Final Terms for which a Limited Indexation Factor is to be calculated;
Permitted Instruments Any one or more of the following:
Index A means the index for the year prior to the
the previous Instrument of Government means the Instrument of Government relating to the Corporation which had effect immediately before 1st January 2008;
Tier 1 Instruments means any and all (i) securities or other obligations (other than Tier 1 Shares) issued by UBS Group AG or (ii) shares, securities, participation securities or other obligations (other than Tier 1 Shares) issued by a subsidiary of UBS Group AG and having the benefit of a guarantee, credit support agreement or similar undertaking of UBS Group AG, each of which shares, securities, participation securities or other obligations described in clauses (i) and (ii) of this definition qualify, or are issued in respect of a security that qualifies, as Tier 1 Capital of the Group and/or UBS Group AG (without regard to quantitative limits on such capital) on a consolidated (Finanzgruppe) or on an unconsolidated (Einzelinstitut) basis.
Short-Term Money Market Instruments means the following types of instruments if, on the date of purchase or other acquisition thereof by the Corporation, the remaining term to maturity thereof is not in excess of 180 days:
Limited Indexation Factor means, in respect of a Limited Indexation Month or Limited Indexation Date, as the case may be, the ratio of the Index Figure applicable to that month or date, as the case may be, divided by the Index Figure applicable to the month or date, as the case may be, twelve months prior thereto, provided that (a) if such ratio is greater than the Maximum Indexation Factor specified in the relevant Final Terms, it shall be deemed to be equal to such Maximum Indexation Factor and (b) if such ratio is less than the Minimum Indexation Factor specified in the relevant Final Terms, it shall be deemed to be equal to such Minimum Indexation Factor;
Gift instrument means a record or records, including an institutional solicitation, under which property is granted to, transferred to, or held by an institution as an institutional fund.
Tier 2 Instruments means at any time tier 2 instruments as interpreted and applied in accordance with the Applicable Banking Regulations;
Index B means the index for the year prior to index A.
ECB Recommended Rate Index Cessation Event means the occurrence of one or more of the following events, as determined by the Issuer and notified by the Issuer to the Calculation Agent:
Mid-Market Swap Rate Quotation means a quotation (expressed as a percentage rate per annum) for the relevant Mid-Market Swap Rate;
municipal debt instrument means any note, bond, debenture or other evidence of indebtedness issued by a municipality, including dematerialised or electronic evidence of indebtedness intended to be used in trade;
Sustainability Linked Loan Principles means the Sustainability Linked Loan Principles as most recently published by the Loan Market Association and Loan Syndications & Trading Association.
LIBOR Market Index Rate means, for any day, LIBOR as of that day that would be applicable for a LIBOR Loan having a one-month Interest Period determined at approximately 10:00 a.m. Central time for such day (rather than 11:00 a.m. (London time) two Business Days prior to the first day of such Interest Period as otherwise provided in the definition of “LIBOR”), or if such day is not a Business Day, the immediately preceding Business Day. The LIBOR Market Index Rate shall be determined on a daily basis.
Mid-Market Swap Rate means for any Reset Period the mean of the bid and offered rates for the fixed leg payable with a frequency equivalent to the frequency with which scheduled interest payments are payable on the Notes during the relevant Reset Period (calculated on the day count basis customary for fixed rate payments in the Relevant Currency as determined by the Calculation Agent) of a fixed-for-floating interest rate swap transaction in the Relevant Currency which transaction (i) has a term equal to the relevant Reset Period and commencing on the relevant Reset Date, (ii) is in an amount that is representative for a single transaction in the relevant market at the relevant time with an acknowledged dealer of good credit in the swap market and (iii) has a floating leg based on the Mid-Swap Floating Leg Benchmark Rate for the Mid-Swap Maturity (calculated on the day count basis customary for floating rate payments in the Relevant Currency as determined by the Calculation Agent);
Sustainable Investment means an investment in an economic activity that contributes to an environmental objective, as measured, for example, by key resource efficiency indicators on the use of energy, renewable energy, raw materials, water and land, on the production of waste, and greenhouse gas emissions, or on its impact on biodiversity and the circular economy, or an investment in an economic activity that contributes to a social objective, in particular an investment that contributes to tackling inequality or that fosters social cohesion, social integration and labour relations, or an investment in human capital or economically or socially disadvantaged communities, provided that such investments do not significantly harm any of those objectives and that the investee companies follow good governance practices, in particular with respect to sound management structures, employee relations, remuneration of staff and tax compliance;
Dangerous instrument means any instrument, article or substance which, under the circumstances in which it is used or attempted or threatened to be used, is capable of causing death or serious physical injury, and includes a "vehicle" or a dog that has been commanded to attack.
