Liquefied petroleum gas definition

Liquefied petroleum gas means a mixture of light hydrocarbons (predominantly propane, butane) that is gaseous under conditions of ambient temperature and pressure and that is maintained in a liquid state by an increase of pressure or lowering of temperature;
Liquefied petroleum gas means gases derived from petroleum or natural gases that are in the gaseous state at normal atmospheric temperature and pressure, but that may be maintained in the liquid state at normal atmospheric temperature by suitable pressure. Liquefied petroleum gas includes products predominately composed of propane, propylene, butylene, butane, and similar products. Liquefied petroleum gas does not include compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, or hythane.
Liquefied petroleum gas or “propane” or “LPG” means a petroleum product composed predominantly of any of the hydrocarbons, or mixture thereof; propane, propylene, butanes and butylenes maintained in the liquid state.

Examples of Liquefied petroleum gas in a sentence

  • Liquefied petroleum gas, naptha, gasoline, kerosene, diesel/heating oil, light gas oils, and lubricating oil are produced from petroleum distillation; and (b) vacuum distillation – distillation at a pressure below atmospheric but not so low that it would be classed as molecular distillation.

More Definitions of Liquefied petroleum gas

Liquefied petroleum gas or “LPG” means a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel. LPG is primarily mixtures of propane, butane, propene (propylene) and ethane. The most common specification categories are propane grades, HD-5, HD-10, and commercial grade propane. LPG also includes both odorized and non- odorized liquid petroleum gas, and is also referred to as propane.
Liquefied petroleum gas means commercial propane, commercial butane, commercial pentane and mixture thereof as specified in the relevant Kenya standard;
Liquefied petroleum gas or "LPG" means a mixture of Propane and Butane separated from Natural Gas by compression, extraction or other processes and marketed in conformity with the quality and specifications established by Pakistan Standard Specification No. 1705-1976 for Commercial Butane - Propane Mixture as amended from time to time.
Liquefied petroleum gas means gases derived from petroleum or natural gases that are in the gaseous state at normal atmospheric temperature and pressure, but that may be maintained in the liquid state at normal atmospheric temperature by suitable pressure.
Liquefied petroleum gas means a gas consisting of vapors of one or more of the paraffin hydrocarbons, or a combination of one or more of these vapors with air.
Liquefied petroleum gas means any material which is composed predominantly of, or any mixtures of, any of the fol- lowing hydrocarbons including their isomers:
Liquefied petroleum gas means any material which is composed predominately of any of the following hydrocarbons or mixtures of the same: Propane, propylene, butanes (normal butane and isobutane), and the butylenes.
