Major Workplace Change definition

Major Workplace Change means a major change that is likely to have a significant effect on Musicians if it results in: • the termination of the employment of Musician(s); or • major change to the composition, operation or size of the company's workforce; or to the skills required of Musicians; or the elimination or diminution of job opportunities.

Examples of Major Workplace Change in a sentence

  • Where an employer makes an in-principle decision that the employer no longer requires the job done by the employee to be done by anyone, and this is not due to the ordinary and customary turnover of labour, and that decision is likely to result in termination of employment, the employer will consult with the employee in accordance with clause 2.2 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) of this Agreement.

  • If this occurs, Clause 2.1 Consultation for Major Workplace Change will be triggered.

  • Where an Employee’s employment may be terminated as a result of redundancy, the provisions of clause 12 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) apply.

  • This clause concerns payment only and is not intended to exclude or limit the requirements of clause 13 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) or 14 (Redundancy) or create a new right to be directed to work at another Workplace Location.

  • A call for expressions of interest for voluntary redundancy will be considered as a measure to avoid compulsory redundancies, as per Clause 51 (Major Workplace Change and Consultation).

  • Where an Employee’s employment may be terminated as a result of redundancy, the provisions of subclause 13.1 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) apply.

  • Clause 22 – Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change This clause provides that the Employer has a duty to notify and consult with employees about definite decisions to introduce major workplace changes that are likely to have a significant effect on those employees.

  • This clause 60 concerns payment only and is not intended to exclude or limit the requirements of clause 12 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) or 15 (Redundancy) or create a new right to be directed to work at another Workplace Location.

  • Where an Employee’s employment may be terminated as a result of redundancy, the provisions of clause 11 (Consultation Regarding Major Workplace Change) apply.

  • In this clause, “Relevant Musicians” means the Musicians who may be affected by the Major Workplace Change or change to regular roster or ordinary hours of work.

Related to Major Workplace Change

  • Major Change means a change in the Employer’s program, production, organisation, physical workplace, workplace arrangements, structure or technology that is likely to have a Significant Effect on Employees.

  • climate change means a change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to natural climate variability observed over comparable time periods.

  • Major Work means any Work to Construct or Maintain the Distribution System that costs more than One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars;

  • Service Change has the meaning set forth in Section 2(B) of the Agreement.

  • Climate Change Levy or “CCL” means the tax referred to in schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2000;
