The role of the Center's Mental Health Consultant is to provide mental health services to the students that will include, but will not be limited to those health services specified in the Department of Labor, Job Corps Regulations (Title 20, Code of Federal Regulations, 628), Job Corps Policy and Requirements Handbook, Chapter 6 2.8, Job Corps Health Program Guide, TAG 6-D2.3 and other Job Corps Health Directives.
The Mental Health Consultant shall review and assess current practices in the District with regard to assisting students who are targets of racial harassment, including students who may be at risk for mental health problems that include, but are not limited to depression, suicidal ideation, or suicide attempts.
The Center and the Center Mental Health Consultant will agree to provide services, which may aid in the development, implementation and monitoring of the total Center Mental Health Program to include, but not be limited to: • Advise the Center Director and Health Services staff on all mental health matters.
In addition, the Provider agrees to permit visits by AOK Early Head Start-affiliated staff, including the Nurse Consultant, Mental Health Consultant, and Family Advocate, as well as staff from the United Way and the Office of Head Start, for the purposes of providing technical assistance, delivering services to children and families, evaluating program quality, or any other program-related cause.
Provide a regular schedule of on-site Mental Health Consultation, on a schedule of sufficient and consistent frequency to ensure a Mental Health Consultant is available to partner with staff and families in a timely and effective manner.

In conformity with the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH) staffing requirements, the minimum acceptable staff shall be one (1) Mental Health Consultant for a twenty (40) hours per week, 48- 50 weeks per year depending on Spring Break Authorization, from December 1st through November 30th of each contract year.

Said payment shall be computed in accordance with Exhibit B hereto, provided that the maximum amount payable to Contractor for its Mental Health Consultant Certified in Eating Disorder Treatment Services shall not exceed $60,000 payment for services provided hereunder prior to the effective date of said suspension, termination or abandonment.
