WED proposes to remove the Town’s existing wind turbine (the “Existing Turbine”), located on a parcel near the Town’s high school on Education Lane (the “Property”), and to replace it with a new 1.5 megawatt direct drive turbine (the “New Turbine”) under a Municipal Net Metering Financing Arrangement, as such term is defined under Rhode Island General Laws Section 39- 26.4-2, as amended (a “Municipal Net Metering Financing Arrangement”).
The Town and WED will enter into a Municipal Net Metering Financing Arrangement, as such term is defined under Rhode Island General Laws Section 39-26.4-2, as amended, for a term of Twenty Five (25) years (the “PPA Term”).
