Newhouse Person definition

Newhouse Person means any (i) individual that is a lineal descendent (including adoptees) of Meyer and Rose Newhouse, a spouse or surviving spouse of any such descendants, or the estate of any of the foregoing individuals, and (ii) any trust, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or other entity which is primarily, directly or indirectly, owned, controlled, or established for the benefit of one or more individuals or estates described by the foregoing clause (i).

Related to Newhouse Person

  • Family farm corporation means a corporation founded for the purpose of farming agricultural land in which the majority of the voting stock is held by and the majority of the stockholders are persons or the spouse of persons related to each other within the fourth degree of kinship, according to the rules of the civil law, and at least one of the related persons is residing on or actively operating the farm, and none of whose stockholders are a corporation. A family farm corporation does not cease to qualify under this division where, by reason of any devise, bequest, or the operation of the laws of descent or distribution, the ownership of shares of voting stock is transferred to another person, as long as that person is within the degree of kinship stipulated in this division.

  • Family Member means spouse, father, mother, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law or son-in-law.

  • investor relations person means a person that is a registrant or that provides services that include investor relations activities;

  • Designated family member means any of the following:

  • Partner means any General Partner or Limited Partner.

  • young person means a person who falls within the definition of qualifying young person in section 142 of the SSCBA.

  • Non-Management Director means any Person selected in accordance with Article IV of this Agreement who is not a Management Director.

  • Elderly person means any person 65 years of age or older who is not subject to the provisions of ORS 441.640 to 441.665.

  • Reasonable person means a reasonable person under similar circumstances and with similar identities to the victim.

  • Management Director means a Person selected in accordance with Article IV of this Agreement who shall have the powers and duties to manage the business and affairs of the Company and exercise its powers to the extent set forth in this Agreement, the Certificate and the Act. Each Management Director shall be a “manager” of the Company within the meaning of the Act.

  • Director of Nursing means an individual who is responsible for the nursing services provided in a nursing care institution.

  • Director-General means the Director-General of the Department;

  • taxable person means any person who, independently, carries out in any place any economic activity, whatever the purpose or results of that activity.

  • Control Person means any Person that holds or is one of a combination of Persons that holds a sufficient number of any of the securities of an issuer so as to affect materially the control of that issuer, or that holds more than 20% of the outstanding voting securities of an issuer except where there is evidence showing that the holder of those securities does not materially affect the control of the issuer;

  • Student media advisor means an individual who is employed, appointed, or designated by the District to supervise or provide instruction with respect to student media.
