Noncontact cooling water definition

Noncontact cooling water means water used for cooling that does not come into direct contact with any raw material, intermediate product, waste product, or finished product.
Noncontact cooling water means water used for cool- ing which does not come into contact with any raw material, inter- mediate or finished product, or waste and has been used in heat exchangers, air or refrigeration compressors, or other cooling means where contamination with process waste is not normally expected.
Noncontact cooling water means water used to reduce temperature which does not come into direct contact with any raw material, intermediate product, waste product (other than heat), or finished product.

Examples of Noncontact cooling water in a sentence

  • Non-contact cooling water may however contain algaecides, or biocides to control fouling of equipment such as heat exchangers, and/or corrosion inhibitors.

  • Non-contact cooling water (NCCW) is used to cool several types of machinery including die presses and hydraulic units.

  • Noncontact cooling water is water used in a cooling system designed to maintain constant separation of the water with process chemicals.

  • Non-contact cooling water is defined as water that is used to reduce temperature and which does not come into direct contact with any raw materials or intermediate, final, or waste product (other than heat).

  • Non-contact cooling water should be excluded from the combined system to the maximum extent practicable.

More Definitions of Noncontact cooling water

Noncontact cooling water means the water used to reduce temperature that does not come into contact with any raw material, intermediate product, waste product (other than heat), or finished product. Noncontact cooling water does not include any process waters or other types of wastewaters, nor is the water exposed to anything but the inside of the pipe. Noncontact cooling water should be reasonably free from contaminants like metals, ammonia, organics, and total dissolved solids so that discharge of noncontact cooling water to the POTW does not result in any of the following:

Noncontact cooling water means water used for cooling which does not come into direct contact with any raw material, intermediate product, waste product, or knished product.
Noncontact cooling water means a separate water system exclusively for temperature conditioning that remains in a closed system from the water meter to the point of discharge into a storm sewer or dry well.
Noncontact cooling water means water used for cooling purposes only, which has no direct contact with any raw material, intermediate, or final product and which does not contain a level of contaminants detectably higher than that of the source of the water.
