Electrical Fitter Means an employee who holds an Electrical Fitting certificate of proficiency / relevant qualification and who is mainly engaged in making, fitting, or repairing electrical equipment, and who in the course of their work applies electrical knowledge, including the welding, fabrication, and erection of brackets and equipment associated with electrical installation work.
Electrical Fitter shall be an electrical fitter employed by an Electrical Contractor normally engaged in making , repairing or maintaining electrical machines, instruments or appliances, but does not include electrical fitters employed in the manufacturing section of a contractor’s business.
An Electronics Tradesman, an Electrician – Special Class, an Electrical Fitter or an Electrical Installer who holds, and in the course of their employment may be required to use, a current "A" or "B" Grade licence issued pursuant to the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991 will be paid a licence allowance.
