Exposed to means an animal that has come in contact with another animal or an environment that is capable of transmitting a contagious, infectious or reportable disease. An animal will no longer be considered as "exposed to" when it is beyond the standard incubation time for the disease and the animal has been tested negative for the specific disease or there is no evidence that the animal is contagious, except for animals exposed to Johne's disease.
