Notice of Overpayment of a Claim If IPA determines that it has overpaid a claim, IPA will notify the provider in writing through a separate notice clearly identifying the claim, the name of the patient, the Date of Service(s) and a clear explanation of the basis upon which IPA believes the amount paid on the claim was in excess of the amount due, including interest and penalties on the claim.
If HCA does not receive a request for an adjudicative proceeding within twenty-eight (28) calendar days of service of a Notice of Overpayment, then the Contractor will be responsible for repaying the amount specified in the Notice of Overpayment.
