Occupationally Acquired HIV. Means infection by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), acquired only via blood transfusion or accidental means during the course of carrying out the Life Insured’s normal occupation with sero- conversion to HIV infection occurring within six months of the accident. Any accident giving rise to a potential claim must be reported to the Company within thirty days of the incident and be supported by a negative HIV antibody test within seven days of the incident.Transmission via any form of sexual activity or deliberate injection of a drug not prescribed by a medical practitioner is specifically excluded.

Occupationally Acquired HIV means infection with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) where HIV was acquired as a result of an accident during the course of carrying out normal occupational duties withsero-conversion to HIV infection occurring within 6 months of the accident. Any accident giving rise to a potential claim must be reported to Us within 30 days of the accident and be supported by a negative HIV antibody test taken within 7 days after the accident. This benefit will not apply in the event that any medical cure is found for AIDS or the effects of HIV or a medical treatment is developed that results in the prevention of the occurrence of AIDS. Infection by any other manner, including infection as a result of sexual activity or intravenous drug use is excluded. St.George Life must have open access to all blood samples and be able to obtain independent testing of such blood samples.

  • Unfriendly Acquisition any acquisition that has not, at the time of the first public announcement of an offer relating thereto, been approved by the board of directors (or other legally recognized governing body) of the Person to be acquired; except that with respect to any acquisition of a non-U.S. Person, an otherwise friendly acquisition shall not be deemed to be unfriendly if it is not customary in such jurisdiction to obtain such approval prior to the first public announcement of an offer relating to a friendly acquisition.

  • Permitted Acquired Debt shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.04(d).

  • Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.

  • Biologically-based mental illness means schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, paranoia and other psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder, as these terms are defined in the most recent edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association.

  • Managed health care system means: (a) Any health care

  • Transformative Acquisition means any acquisition or Investment by the Borrower or any Restricted Subsidiary that is either (a) not permitted by the terms of this Agreement immediately prior to the consummation of such acquisition or Investment or (b) if permitted by the terms of this Agreement immediately prior to the consummation of such acquisition or Investment, would not provide the Borrower and its Restricted Subsidiaries with adequate flexibility under this Agreement for the continuation and/or expansion of their combined operations following such consummation, as determined by the Borrower acting in good faith.

  • School of cosmetology means an establishment operated for the purpose of teaching cosmetology.
