Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to permit a pharmacist to alter a physician’s orders or directions, diagnose or treat any disease, independently prescribe drugs or independently practice medicine and surgery.
