Open Access Consumer definition

Open Access Consumer means a consumer who is eligible to receive supply of electricity from a person other than the distribution licensee of his area of supply;
Open Access Consumer means a consumer permitted by the Distribution Licensee / Commission to receive supply of electricity from a person, other than the Distribution Licensee of his area of supply, and the expression(s) includes a generator and a licensee, who has availed of open access.
Open Access Consumer means the consumer availing open access under sub-section (2) of section 42 of the Act;

  • Open Access User shall make reasonable endeavour to ensure that actual demand at the Consumer interconnection point (exit point) do not exceed the net allocated capacity (gross capacity minus loss) in case of Open Access Consumer and sum of net allocated Capacity and Contracted Demand in case of scheduled consumer.
