Supply of Electricity definition

Supply of Electricity means the sale of electricity by a party other than a generator or a distributor in the franchise area of a distribution utility using the wires of the distribution utility concerned;

Supply of Electricity means the sale of electricity by authorized persons or entities. There are no foreign equity restrictions imposed on corporations engaged in the business of supply of electricity to the contestable market, subject to meeting certain requirements such as capitalization.

  • Where, within five days of the receipt by the Authority of the notice referred to in paragraph 8, the Authority determines that the charges proposed by the Licensee would be likely to cause hardship to Domestic Customers, it may issue a direction to the Licensee requiring it to ensure that its Charges for the Supply of Electricity do not exceed those specified in the direction as being appropriate in order to avoid or mitigate such hardship.

  • The Licensee shall comply with any direction issued by the Authority under paragraph 9, but shall not be required by that direction to set its Charges for the Supply of Electricity at a level less than that applicable to the supply by it under Deemed Contracts of comparable Domestic Premises otherwise than in accordance with a Last Resort Supply Direction.

  • The Licensee’s Charges for the Supply of Electricity to the premises specified or described in the Last Resort Supply Direction must not exceed an amount that may be expected, in total, approximately to equal the Licensee’s reasonable costs of supply (including, where appropriate, the costs of purchasing electricity at short notice) and a reasonable profit.

  • The Licensee shall, so far as is reasonably practicable, give the Authority at least five days’ notice of any increase in the Charges for the Supply of Electricity to premises to be supplied with electricity by it in accordance with a Last Resort Supply Direction.

  • Where a Contract also relates to or governs the provision of other good or services, the Licensee shall ensure that the charges for such other goods or services are identified separately from the Charges for the Supply of Electricity.

  • A rebate of 2 paise per unit will be allowed if capacitors are installed as per Clause 23 of Conditions of Supply of Electricity of the Distribution Licensees in the State of Karnataka in respect of all metered IP Set Installations.

  • Temporary tariff rates will be applicable in case the load exceeds sanctioned load as per the Conditions of Supply of Electricity of the Distribution Licensees in the State of Karnataka.

  • During inspection, if the capacity of capacitors provided is found to be less than what is stipulated in Conditions of Supply of Electricity of the Distribution Licensees in the State of Karnataka, a surcharge of 30 Paise/unit will be levied in the case of installations covered under Tariff categories LT 3, LT 5, & LT 6 where motive power is involved.

  • Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, the Company may assign this Agreement to any of its affiliates or to any successor (whether by operation of law or otherwise) to all or substantially all of its business and assets without the consent of Consultant.

  • This procedure may be implemented by the Licensee as stipulated under Section 26.01 of Conditions of Supply of Electricity of the Distribution Licensees in the State of Karnataka.

  • Electricity means the electrical energy in kilowatt-hours.

  • Sewage sludge means a solid, semi-solid, or liquid residue generated during the treatment of domestic sewage in a treatment works as defined in section 6111.01 of the Revised Code. "Sewage sludge" includes, but is not limited to, scum or solids removed in primary, secondary, or advanced wastewater treatment processes. "Sewage sludge" does not include ash generated during the firing of sewage sludge in a sewage sludge incinerator, grit and screenings generated during preliminary treatment of domestic sewage in a treatment works, animal manure, residue generated during treatment of animal manure, or domestic septage.

  • Sewage means a combination of the water-carried wastes from residences, business buildings, institutions, and industrial establishments, together with such ground, surface, and storm waters as may be present.

  • Utilities means water, sewer, gas, electric, telecom, cable, and like services.

  • Gasification means the substoichiometric oxidation or steam reformation of a substance to produce a gaseous mixture containing two or more of the following: (i) oxides of carbon; (ii) methane; and (iii) hydrogen;

  • Gas means any mixture of hydrocarbons and noncombustible gases in a gaseous state consisting primarily of methane.

  • Meter means, unless otherwise qualified, a device that measures and registers the integral of an electrical quantity with respect to time.
